Challenge Team Abstract
What physics is involved in kicking a soccer ball? I will create a
program to find the physics involved. I think it is important to know the physics involved to help in
games. If a player can determine the force needed to send the ball to
an exact location, then he/she could get it their most effeciently so
a goal or win could be achieved. The purpose of this project, like I said, is to determine the
physics in kicking. I hope it will also show how the ball's rotation
will have an affect on the balls travel, speed, distance. I plan on writing a program to determine the above topics, then use
the results from the program to make graphs and charts. I plan to
make the results as simple but descriptive and understandable as
possible. To determine these things and get results, I will need to do as much research as needed to get equations that will be useful. Team Members Sponsoring Teachers
