Team Number: 058 School Name: Pecos Highschool Area of Science: Earth and Space Sciences Project Title: The Effect of Solar Power Satellites on Surface Ground Temperature

In the future, more and more power on earth is needed. Because of that, the idea of Solar Power Satellites (SPS) is being developed. With SPS, huge satellites will be placed into space to catch solar energy. These satellites may cast a shadow on the earth. The purpose of this project is to determine how the shadow will affect the surface ground temperture.
